Pattern-Miniskirt and Corset by ReflectionsByIce Pattern-Miniskirt and Corset by ReflectionsByIce
This is the pattern I created to make Tara's costume. I also used a variation of it to create Vespera's outfit as well. It is meant to fit mattel's twist & turn barbie very snuggly.

It's HIGHLY recommended you use very thin leather & itty bitty eyelets (I get 1/16th eyelets from Tiny Zippers [link] ).

If you need any help or have questions, please feel free to ask me! I promise not to bite :P

That's awesome! May I ask how you draw those patterns? I would like to learn how to draw my own patterns, could you give me any tips or advise?

What I do is wrap the doll up in tissue paper, and then cover it completely with masking tape... like a mommy. Then I draw out where I want the seams to be, and cut it off of the doll at those.

Yay, now I can try this with my poor, nekkid, hairless dolls, lol. What do you recommend for hair re-roots? I can't find any decent doll hair. I think there's some, but not sure it's good for the Barbies.

My absolute favorite place to get hair is from My Little Customs [link]

She is UK based, but I find her shipping charges to Canada EXTREMELY reasonable... and fast! I've used her hair for these dolls...

[link] moonlight/starlight nylon mix
[link] Black Magicka nylon with a streak of After Midnight nylon

You'll need 2 hanks of either nylon or saran to do a barbie with ankle length hair.

Does that help?
